Our Traditional Worship service offers a spirit-filled worship experience in the Wesleyan tradition.

We are led in worship by choirs, the majestic pipe organ and grand piano, and once a month by a 20+ piece orchestra. Our music comes from a variety of sources, but the congregational hymns usually come from the United Methodist Hymnal.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month and other special services. We encourage families to sit with their children for this experience. Children are welcome to participate in every aspect of the service.

Godly Play (for ages 3-3rd grade) is available during both services (on weeks when Holy Communion is not celebrated). This is an interactive, imaginative way to introduce children to the stories of the Bible in a special service just for them.  Children’s church (for ages 3-7) is available during the 10:45 service (on weeks when Holy Communion is not celebrated) for those who choose to use it.

Located in the heart of Northeast Tennessee, First Broad Street United Methodist Church is located in the city of Kingsport on the historic downtown Church Circle. Since we are a downtown church, parking can be difficult at times, so we have tried to make it as easy as possible. Simply stated, parking is mostly behind our two church buildings, which are the furthest two right buildings on Church Circle.

There are two main entrances to our church. Our Main Entrance through the glass doors leading to the sanctuary- these doors are located directly behind Hamlett-Dobson parking lot. Or you can enter through the Wesley Wing entrance, which is the closest entrance to the intersection of Broad Street and Charlemont. Walking underneath the overhang, these doors will give you access to our children's check-in system.

First Broad Street United Methodist Church is a community of Christian faith located on Church Circle in downtown Kingsport, TN and a member of the Holston Conference of the UMC.
